2011 Summer Cutting Spectacular Recap
Big money, top horses and high scores made the 2011 NCHA Summer Cutting Spectacular, presented by Great American Insurance, hotter than the weather outside during the show. 18 days of heated competition had 1,500 entries vying for their piece of the over $2 million purse in the historic Will Rogers Memorial Center in Ft. Worth, Texas.
2011 Derby Open
It was hot time in Cowtown on July 30th, when Stylish Martini, won the 2011 NCHA Derby with 224.5 points under Roger Wagner for Marvine Ranch, owned by Jon and Abby Winkelreid.
2011 Derby Non-Pro
On July 30, 2011 Kelle Earnheart added another Derby trophy to her cache with 225 points aboard her gelding Cancan Reyvolution, by Dual Rey.
2011 Derby John Deere Open
Tate Bennett and Reyn Maker marked 225 to win the John Deere Division of the NCHA Derby at the NCHA Summer Cutting Spectacular, presented by Great American Insurance, on July 29, 2011. Reyn Maker, by Dual Rey, and Bennett also took the John Deere Division at the NCHA Super Stakes in April.
2011 Classic Challenge Limited Non-Pro
Collbran Larsen of Gruver, Texas, won the Limited Non-Pro Classic Challenge finals with a 222 on DS Mrs Wilsonfreckle, by Wilsons Lil Freckles on July 28th, 2011.
